Reese’s and Oreo cookies on Cupcakes
It was our first time to try out Cupcakes by Sonja in Serendra last February. After our dinner in Shakey’s we walked around the Global City looking for desserts. We spotted Conti’s first but opted to try out the recent cupcakes craze brought about by Cupcakes by Sonja. The store/bakeshop?? is small, cute (with all the heart shaped decorations above), colorful cupcakes from red, yellow, green and the classic chocolate colored ones are carefully aligned in trays with their names and ingredients in it.
We had a hard time choosing which cupcake to try then we saw Elvis-cupcake topped with Reese chocolate (Arvin and I love Reese), cream, caramel and a “base” (or the cupcake itself) is made with oreo cookies. We bought two, one for each of us. The pastel colored package is cute.:)
The verdict: Elvis cupcake is too sweet for me, you’ll really need a glass of water after. The cream, caramel and Reese topping is good although its about to melt when we started eating it. I guess it should really stay in a cool temperature to keep it from melting. The base (I really don’t know how you call it) is not really solid, it falls apart when you start taking a bite maybe because it was made of Oreo cookies but it’s definitely delicious.:)
I give it a 3/5 but I will definitely try other cupcakes again because one cupcake doesn’t justify it all.
Try it for yourself!
